Parking:

The most convenient parking will be in the parking garage that is located across from the Cheek-Powell Heart and Vascular Pavilion (455 Pinellas Street). If you walk out the back of the garage, you will see the parking lot where the race starts.

Q. How do I register for the Rock the Ribbon Race?

Q. How much is the Rock the Ribbon Race?
– 5K - $30 (through 9/21). $35 (9/22 through race day)
10K - $35 (through 9/21). $40 (9/22 through race day)
– Kids Dash – $10 per participant (through 9/29)

Q. Can I pick up someone else's packet during race week?
Yes, all you need to do is let the volunteers working packet pick-up know the names that you will be picking up.

Q. How do I make a donation in support of the hospitals' prostate or breast cancer programs?

Q. What is the age groups and distance of the Kid's Dash?
– 400 yard dash: 9-10 year olds
– 300 yard dash: 7-8 year olds
– 200 yard dash: 5-6 year olds
– 100 yard dash: 3-4 year olds
– 50 yard dash: 1-2 year olds

Q. Will there be awards based on the age group of the winners?
Yes, awards will be given to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups (male and female):

– 10 and under
– 11-14
– 15-19
– 20-24
– 25-29
– 30-34
– 35-39
– 40-44
– 45-49
– 50-54
– 55-59
– 60-64
– 65-69
– 70+

Q. What time does the Kids Dash start?
The kids dash starts at 6:00pm. The 5K and 10K will follow at 6:30pm.

Q. Is this race USATF-certified and what is the actual mileage of each race?
Yes, the race is officially USATF-certified and the 5K is 3.1 miles and the 10K is 6.2 miles.

Q. What is the race route?
This year’s course will start on the Morton Plant Hospital campus and send runners across the beautiful Clearwater Memorial Causeway bridge and back. Click here to view race map!

Q. Will there be race awards/trophies for the top finishers?
Medals will be awarded, by age group, to the top three male and female finishers in each of the 5K and 10K races. Overall winners will be given medals as well. All children participating in the Kids Dash will receive their own medal. All race times will be available on Coolrunning.com after the race.

Q. Are we allowed to wear headphones?
Yes, headphones are allowed along the route.

Q. Are jogging strollers allowed on the race course?
Yes! Jogging strollers are allowed, but please be mindful of those around you on race day.

Q. What happens if there is bad weather on race day?
The race will be held rain or shine. If there is lightning in the area, the race will either have a delayed start or, depending on the intensity of the weather, be cancelled. The determination will be made by the race management staff.

Q. Do you have to run or can you walk?
You can walk or run, it’s up to you! Everyone will receive a timing chip on race day.

Q. I have a large group coming to participate. Will we be able to walk/run together or will we be split up?
The 5K and 10K races begin at the same time so you can participate with your group.

Q. Will I receive a t-shirt if I register?
Yes! All registered participants will receive a shirt.

Q. Do the kids get anything for registering?
Yep! Kids will get a race shirt and medal.

Q. Is there anything special we can do to recognize prostate and breast cancer survivors at the race?
Yes! You can bring signs, banners, shirts, noisemakers—anything you want to recognize your loved one(s).

Q. I have a friend that would like to participate, but they require the use of a mobile scooter, can they participate?
Yes!
